Call of the Night

Unable to sleep, 14-year-old Ko Yamori sneaks out in the middle of the night for the first time to go for a walk and encounters a mysterious girl.

Annoyed at spending so much time looking for Nazuna, Ko asks her to exchange numbers. She suddenly recalls that she has an old phone at her apartment.

Speaking with Ko for the first time in a while, his childhood friend Akira expresses her concern that he hasn't been coming to school recently.

While pondering the meaning of Nazuna's kiss during a late-night stroll, Ko happily realizes he may have successfully fallen in love with a vampire.

Meeting up with Nazuna outside a bathhouse, Ko is taken aback by her relaxed appearance. Hoping to confirm his feelings, he asks her to feed on him.

On her way home from a work party, a publishing company employee goes to Nazuna's place for a massage — only to be greeted by Ko instead.

While taking shelter from a sudden downpour, Ko is approached by a high school girl who has a questionable pastime — and a chilling agenda.

Ko learns he has less than a year to become a vampire and goes to Akira for advice. Later at school, Akira finds a classmate asleep on the stairs.

Seri takes Ko to a karaoke booth, where an obsessed admirer of hers appears outside the door. Annoyed, she declares her intent to kill the man.

Midori asks Nazuna to help out at the maid café where she works. Later, she receives a message containing some photos that were covertly taken there.
