Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can expect to see a few short adverts per hour. We aim to place adverts during natural plot breaks for a more seamless experience. You'll see adverts before and during selected TV programmes and films. Some newly released films only have adverts before they begin.

    When you press pause, you can see in the progress bar how many advert breaks there will be. When an advert break starts, the number of adverts in the advert break appears in the upper-right corner. Fast forward and skip aren't available when an advert is playing.

  • Kids profiles do not have adverts, so you can continue sharing your account with the children in your household without worrying about what they see in adverts.

  • Some older devices and types of TVs are not compatible with the Standard with adverts plan.

  • You can stream, download and play thousands of programmes, films and games. The vast majority of TV programmes and films are available on an advert-supported plan, but due to licensing restrictions a small number are unavailable. These titles will appear with a lock icon when you search or browse Netflix.
