Two years after vowing to break into the anime industry, Aoi is a production assistant at a studio where her friend Ema is a key animator.

After dealing with key animator Segawa's collapse, Aoi tries to find someone to take over for the fourth episode, but the director has his own ideas.

Retakes for the fourth episode consume Aoi's time as she also shepherds the key frames for episode nine through the production process.

Shizuka goes for her first audition at Prussia Studio against a popular voice actress, making her nervous. Meanwhile, Aoi's parents call.

Ryosuke quits as the eighth episode director after arguing with Taro, another PA, who blames Aoi for the situation. The last episode is a month late.

Ryosuke refuses to get back to work and Aoi decides to inform chief production assistant Honda about Taro's inability to deal with the situation.

Aoi's sister Kaori comes to visit. Tatsuya shocks the studio by announcing that he's quitting, and Aoi is put in charge of the final episode.

Kaori reveals her dissatisfaction with her job as she tours Tokyo with Midori. Ema struggles with her cuts and can't take Sugie's advice.

Aoi is under increasing pressure as Seiichi hasn't finished his storyboards and there's only a month left to finish the entire episode.

Seiichi is about to finish his storyboards, but he's changed the ending with only five weeks left. Meanwhile, Misa wants to quit her job.
