The phony psychic Reigen and his assistant, an inconspicuous junior high student named Mob, head out to dispel spirits from a well-known haunt.

The Telepathy Club, threatened with disbandment due to a lack of members, sets their sights on Mob. As he frets over joining, a new job comes in.

Mob joins the Body Improvement Club to impress his childhood friend, Tsubomi, but faints during a run. He then meets a strange woman.

A clash between rival schools escalates when a psychic gang leader kidnaps Mob, forcing the Body Improvement Club to step in.
