During an expedition exam, Anos searches for the forest where Shin awaits him. He encounters a mysterious girl who asks him to bring her along.

In the Spirit's Trial, Anos and the others must each choose one of the few correct staircases out of 20 if they want to meet the Spirit King.

Anos resolves to find a way to defeat Avos Dilhevia and save Misa. Meanwhile, in Dilhade, the nobles under Avos's control attack mixed-blood demons.

Anos and his companions travel 2,000 years into the past to uncover the truth about Shin’s intentions, the Great Spirit Leno’s death and Misa’s birth.

Leno tries to get Shin to loosen up and have a little fun. But then suddenly, Erdomaid Dittijohn appears and tells them he knows where Nous Galia is.

While practicing swordplay, Shin is very impressed with Lay's rapid progress. Later, Anos and Misha hear about a headless demon and decide to investigate further.

Kanon tries to convince Shin Regalia to go with his plan to preserve peace in the world. Realizing her true feelings, Leno rushes to tell Shin.

Anos and the others return 2,000 years into the future to the present day, where Anos vows to confront Avos and get back what belongs to him.
