Bayside Shakedown

Shunsaku Aoshima meets his new colleagues on his first day as a detective. Later, he gets his first assignment: chauffeur an elite investigator.

A package containing an ergonomic chair is delivered to Waku at the station. But after Waku sits on it, Aoshima discovers it is armed with a bomb.

Sumire helps catch a purse-snatcher. However, when the thief turns out to be the son of a government minister, Muroi is ordered to cover up the crime.

Aoshima assists with investigating a series of violent burglaries. While staking out a nightclub, he spots the suspect but is given the slip.

Sumire is attacked by a stalker on her way home. Aoshima learns how a previous assault by the same man led to the end of Sumire's engagement.

Aoshima and Waku stake out a suspected drug dealer's apartment from an opposite building but are surprised when they see Yukino enter the premises.

With Yukino in their custody, Aoshima and the others have only 48 hours to solve the case before they must hand her over to Muroi for questioning.

Muroi brings in three tech whizzes to create a data-based profile of a suspect, but the old-fashioned Waku strongly disagrees with their methods.

Tasked with protecting a murder suspect's lover, Aoshima and Sumire go to the woman's apartment but find a throng of reporters outside her door.

Aoshima receives a call from a man who claims to have information about the murder of a police officer that Waku has been investigating for years.
