Baker is best known for his Golden Globe-nominated portrayal of a corporate lawyer sentenced to community service in "The Guardian," a CBS drama that lasted three seasons. He also earned an Emmy nod for his work on "The Mentalist," in which he stars as a crime consultant with an uncommon mind.
On the big screen, Baker found his niche playing the love interest in romantic comedies such as Something New and The Devil Wears Prada (both 2006). In 2009, he signed on for a remake of director Alfred Hitchcock's silent classic The Lodger.
