An Australian actress with expressive eyes who has been compared to Audrey Hepburn, Rose Byrne was born in Sydney on July 24, 1979. She launched her acting career at age 8 with the Australian Theatre for Young People and landed her first film role in Dallas Doll at age 13.Eagled-eyed sci-fi fans will recognize Byrne as one of Senator Amidala's aides in Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones. But she also appeared more prominently in the historical epic Troy alongside Brad Pitt and fellow Aussie Eric Bana. Two years later, she played a confidante to the youthful French queen in Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette.
On television, Bryne is best known for her Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated work on the FX breakout hit "Damages," in which she plays a young attorney who's learning the ropes from her ruthless boss (Emmy winner Glenn Close).
