A star of stage, screen and television, Patrick Stewart is best known for portraying Capt. Jean-Luc Picard in the hit TV series "Star Trek: The Next Generation."Born July 13, 1940, in Mirfield, England, Stewart began his thespian training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and put his dramatic skills to work with a variety of repertory groups; in 1966 he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. On stage, he led the cast as Prospero in the 1995 Broadway production of "The Tempest." Among Stewart's movie credits are Dune (1984), Conspiracy Theory (1997), X-Men (2000) and the 1998 cable remake of Moby Dick, for which he racked up Golden Globe and Emmy nominations.
Stewart's commanding tone has led the actor to ample voice work in films, including The Prince of Egypt (1998) and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2001). The classically taught actor is a fan of none other than "Beavis and Butt-head."
