Owen Wilson
Owen WilsonThe middle child of a photographer mother and ad executive father, Owen Wilson was born November 18, 1968, in Dallas, Texas. After dropping out of the University of Texas at Austin just before graduation, Wilson teamed up with friend and director Wes Anderson to co-write the screenplay for Bottle Rocket (1996), in which Wilson co-starred with brother Luke.

Owen soon moved to Hollywood and was cast in the Ben Stiller-directed The Cable Guy. His friendship with Stiller has resulted in the pair working together on such films as Permanent Midnight, Meet the Parents, Zoolander and Starsky & Hutch.

Wilson again teamed with Anderson to write the much-praised Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums. Often cited for his laid-back delivery, Wilson's highest-profile work has been playing Roy O'Bannon opposite Jackie Chan in the action-comedies Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights.
