Kirk Cameron
Born in Panorama City, Calif., on Oct. 12, 1970, Kirk Cameron shot to fame while he was still in high school, landing the high-profile role of serial troublemaker Mike Seaver on the long-running ABC sitcom "Growing Pains" (1985-92). A few years later, the acting bug bit his younger sister, Candace, who came of age as one of the Tanner sisters on "Full House."

Thanks to the popularity of "Growing Pains," Cameron earned a pair of Golden Globe nods and found his face plastered on the pages of Tiger Beat. He also explored the big screen, starring with Dudley Moore in Like Father, Like Son (1987) and Jami Gertz in Listen to Me (1989).

Post-"Growing Pains," Cameron took his career in a different direction, devoting his life to evangelical pursuits and choosing projects with Christian themes, including the Left Behind series of films based on the best-selling books about the End Times.
