Television's "Doctor Quinn: Medicine Woman" was born Joyce Penelope Wilhelmina Frankenberg in Hillingdon, England, on Feb. 15, 1951. Her looks -- part exotic and part English rose -- quickly caught the eye of directors, and she was appearing in British film and TV projects by the age of 18.After receiving international attention for her turn as Bond girl Solitaire in 1973's Live and Let Die, Seymour headed to Hollywood. She quickly began her reign as queen of TV movies, working constantly during the 1970s and '80s, often on miniseries such as "Jack the Ripper" and "War and Remembrance." She also appeared in several movies, including Somewhere in Time (1980) opposite Christopher Reeve.
In 1993, Seymour took on the career-defining role of prairie healer Dr. Michaela Quinn, a part she played for five years and in two TV movies. In 2005, she returned to the big screen in Wedding Crashers.
