Jamie Lee Curtis made headlines on Nov. 22, 1958, by being born to chic Hollywood couple Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh. But it was 20 years later that Curtis became a pop-culture icon as the heroine of the horror hit Halloween, and her reign as "Prima Scream Queen" continued through The Fog, Prom Night, Halloween II and Terror Train.She escaped typecasting via the 1983 comedy Trading Places and branched out into comic, romantic and dramatic roles. A Fish Called Wanda (1988) and True Lies (1994) are two of Curtis' biggest successes, the latter earning her a Golden Globe Award.
Curtis has periodically returned to the chiller genre with Mother's Boys and two more Halloween sequels, and got a career boost with the 2003 Disney remake of Freaky Friday. Thanks to husband Christopher Guest inheriting the Barony, she's also known as "Baroness Haden-Guest."
