Known as much for her beauty as her talent, Ingrid Bergman will always be best remembered as Humphrey Bogart's lost love in Casablanca.Born in Stockholm, Sweden, on Aug. 29, 1915, Bergman had a career spanning five decades, during which she won three Oscars, two Emmys, four Golden Globes and a Tony. She starred in numerous Hollywood films before falling from grace after leaving her husband and child to move in with director Roberto Rossellini. Bergman later revived her career with an Oscar-winning performance in Anastasia. She also won Oscars for Gaslight and Murder on the Orient Express, and received Oscar nominations for Joan of Arc and For Whom the Bell Tolls.
Bergman turned in notable performances in the Alfred Hitchcock films Spellbound and Notorious, as well as the 1982 miniseries "A Woman Called Golda," for which she won a posthumous Emmy. She died Aug. 29, 1982.
