Canadian actress Ellen Page was born Feb. 21, 1987, and reared in Halifax, Nova Scotia. By the age of 10, she already had an agent.By age 20, Page had chalked up an Oscar nod for Best Actress (along with a pair of Independent Spirit and Golden Globe nominations) for her portrayal of a pregnant teen in the quirky indie comedy Juno (2007). At the time, the role of Juno MacGuff was Page's highest-profile American part. But Canadians already knew the diminutive star for her critically acclaimed work on television shows such as "Pit Pony," "Trailer Park Boys" and "ReGenesis," and the Canadian films Marion Bridge (2002), Touch & Go (2003) and Wilby Wonderful (2004).
Before Page's success in Juno, she also appeared in Hard Candy (2005) as a 14-year-old who takes revenge on an Internet predator, and in 2006, she played a mutant who can walk through walls in X-Men: The Last Stand.
