Bryce Dallas Howard
Bryce Dallas HowardThe daughter of Oscar-winning actor-director Ron Howard, Bryce Dallas Howard was born in Los Angeles on March 2, 1981. The actress inherited her father's iconic red hair, but she chose not to use his name for the first part of her career, enrolling simply as "Bryce Dallas" in New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts.

After honing her skills in the theater world, the virtually unknown Howard landed a plum role in M. Night Shyamalan's The Village, stepping in to play a part that was originally intended for Kirsten Dunst. Her performance as a sheltered blind girl proved sufficiently haunting and generated serious buzz.

Howard reteamed with Shyamalan for Lady in the Water and later played a fitting Shakespearean lady in As You Like It, earning a Golden Globe nod. She also donned platinum locks to play Peter Parker's love interest Gwen Stacy in the big-budget Spider-Man 3.
