Anna Paquin
Anna PaquinBorn in Winnipeg, Canada, on July 24, 1982, Anna Paquin moved to New Zealand with her family when she was 4 years old.

At the tender age of 11, Paquin won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her first screen appearance: director Jane Campion's sensuous film The Piano (1993), in which Paquin played the feisty, articulate daughter of a mute woman (Holly Hunter). This made Paquin -- who has never had an acting lesson -- the second youngest person ever to win an Academy Award.

Paquin has since appeared in the critically acclaimed Fly Away Home (1996), Jane Eyre (1996) and X-Men (2000). She earned her first Emmy nomination for the made-for-TV movie Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (2007) and her first Golden Globe win for the cable series "True Blood." Paquin enjoyed a good year in 2009 with another Golden Globe nod for "True Blood" and one for the telefilm The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler.
