Abigail Breslin
Abigail BreslinBorn April 14, 1996, into a New York acting family (older brother Spence has appeared in numerous films), Manhattan native Abigail Breslin began acting in commercials at age 3 and by age 5 had been cast by M. Night Shyamalan in what would become her first feature film, the sci-fi thriller Signs (opposite Mel Gibson).

Other roles quickly followed for the young actress, including a part opposite her brother in Gary Marshall's Raising Helen (2004) and roles in Keane, Family Plan and TV shows such as "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Navy NCIS" and "Ghost Whisperer."

It was Breslin's performance in Jonathan Dayton's 2006 sleeper hit Little Miss Sunshine, however, that thrust her into the public eye and earned her the honor of becoming one of the youngest Academy Award nominees in history for her role as the pure-hearted pageant contestant at the heart of a wildly dysfunctional family.
