Anthony Mackie
Hailing from the Big Easy, Anthony Mackie (born Sept. 23, 1979) studied acting at Juilliard before embarking on a professional career that's seen him quickly rise to prominence via nonstop work and a plethora of juicy roles.

After making his big-screen debut as rival rapper Papa Doc in the Eminem drama 8 Mile (2002), Mackie landed a leading role in Spike Lee's She Hate Me (2004), appearing that same year in Million Dollar Baby, The Manchurian Candidate and Brother to Brother (for which he received an Independent Spirit Award nod).

Continuing his heavy work schedule, Mackie made five films that premiered in 2006, including the football drama We Are Marshall and the award-winning indie Half Nelson. In 2008, the busy actor received his second Independent Spirit nod -- this time for his work opposite Ralph Fiennes and Jeremy Renner in the Iraq War drama The Hurt Locker.
