After authorities learn that Frank Kane's (John Drew Barrymore) parents were Jewish, they kick him out of the Catholic orphanage he calls home, prompting the embittered youth to turn to a life of crime in this exciting thriller. Becoming a successful mobster, Kane soon finds an old school friend turned special investigator, Martin Cabell (Steve McQueen), hot on his trail. Harold Robbins co-wrote the script based on his best-selling novel.
