Gerald Hadleigh (Robert Swann) is found dead the morning after his writers' circle meets with best-selling novelist and former psychiatrist Max Jennings (John Shrapnel). Just as Chief Inspector Barnaby (John Nettles) uncovers confusing facts about Hadleigh's past, Jennings goes missing and another corpse turns up. This feature-length TV mystery is based on author Caroline Graham's Midsomer Murders series.
