Vikram (Rishi Kapoor) and Sunita (Poonam Dhillon) are marrying against the wishes of Vikram's mother (Raakhee). But on the way to the temple, there's a car accident, and both young people are injured. Sunita's face is disfigured, and she's forced to have plastic surgery -- but Vikram's mother cruelly tells him Sunita has died. He's overcome with grief until he recognizes his lover's unforgettable voice.
