Frau im Mond / By Rocket to the Moon
Legendary filmmaker Fritz Lang's prescient movie, first released in 1929, depicts scientists journeying to the moon to explore a new frontier and finding their mission complicated by human desires and petty jealousies. The trip is riddled with intrigue, especially when a student and an engineer begin a dalliance. More important, their rocket is malfunctioning, which heightens tensions.
