Widow Abby McClure (Doris Day) manages lumberjacks by day and looks after her three sons by night. One day, she meets nice-guy Jake Iverson (Brian Keith), a widower with a daughter. Abby and Jake fall in love, get married and then try to successfully blend their two families into one functioning unit. Co-stars Barbara Hershey, George Carlin, Alice Ghostley, Jamie Farr and Pat Carroll. Howard Morris directs.
