Director Daniel MacIvor's quirky tale follows several denizens of the small Nova Scotia community of Wilby for a fateful 24 hours. As a town scandal looms on the horizon, depressed video-store clerk Dan Jarvis (James Allodi) repeatedly attempts suicide even as handyman Duck MacDonald (Callum Keith Rennie) tries to help him. Meanwhile, uptight real-estate agent Carol French (Sandra Oh) is drifting apart from her cop husband (Paul Gross).
