Keiichi is new to the rural town of Hinamizawa and seems to be fitting in well. But on the day of the annual Watanagashi Festival, he discovers a grisly secret: Every year, someone in Hinamizawa is murdered, and another disappears. Soon, Keiichi and his new friends are bound up in the mystery of the festival terror. Each character's story arc is presented as its own tale in this ingenious anime based on the popular visual novels.
