This dramatic double feature stars Dean Jones as Ed Cooper, a Jewish attorney living with his family in a small Connecticut town just prior to the outbreak of World War II. In When Every Day Was the 4th of July, Cooper defends a mute, emotionally disturbed man falsely accused of murder. And in The Long Days of Summer, despite a growing climate of bigotry, the lawyer takes the case of a German Jew about to be deported.
