Instead of marrying for money, debutante Wendy Van Klettering (Joan Bennett) leaves fiancé Henry Morgan (Alan Mowbray) at the altar and goes to work as a fashion model in this boutique-chic musical. Wendy falls for clothing designer and badgered boss George Curson (Warner Baxter), who spends his time meeting the demands of his wife, Mary (Helen Vinson). Meanwhile, jealous Henry sets out to ruin George's chances of winning a fashion show competition.
