Conductor Pierre Boulez leads the Orchester der Bayreuther Festspiele in this performance of Richard Wagner's opera "Das Rheingold" -- the first work in a series of four operas that comprise Wagner's epic "Der Ring Des Nibelungen." Directed by Patrice Chereau, with set design by Richard Peduzzi, the performance stars Donald McIntyre as Wotan, Martin Egel as Donner, Siegfried Jerusalem as Froh, and Heinz Zednik as Loge.
