French bombshells Brigitte Bardot and Jeanne Moreau team up as two buxom women named Maria who unwittingly invent the striptease near the turn of the century -- and become such a sensation that enthusiastic audiences strip down right along with them. But when one of the ladies falls for a handsome revolutionary (George Hamilton), she and her new beau soon find themselves utterly embroiled in an armed peasant revolt.
