V: The Original Miniseries

Having depleted their own planet's resources, an alien species flees to planet Earth, where their humanlike appearance and friendly attitude gain them acceptance from their human co-habitants. Their real motives, however, prove more sinister: They plan to take the planet for themselves! Although it may seem dated by today's standards, the miniseries was considered groundbreaking in its use of special effects.
