Director François Truffaut's deeply moving drama recounts the story of a painful love triangle. Upon meeting callow Frenchman Claude Roc (Jean-Pierre Léaud) in Paris, sculptress Ann Brown (Kika Markham) asks him to spend the holidays with her family in Britain, intending for Claude to fall in love with her sister, Muriel (Stacey Tendeter). But when Ann develops feelings for Claude, complications ensue. Based on Henri-Pierre Roché's novel.
