Determined to rise above the Brooklyn ghetto, Diamond (Pras Michel) dreams of success as a rap artist. To pay the bills for now, he and his buddy and manager, Gage (Ja Rule), are drug couriers for Mr. B (Jason Statham). Diamond is overwhelmed when his mom dies, his father returns and his girlfriend Kia (Tamala Jones) announces she's pregnant. And there's even more on his shoulders: the $100,000 he stole to record an album happens to be Mr. B's.
