All tree trimmer Art Long (Dennis Quaid) has to do to get everything he wants is knock down five different guys in one night as part of the televised Toughman Contest. But is he tough enough for the challenge? In addition to $100,000 and the chance to appear on national television, he'll also get a recording contract, which would conveniently feed his dreams of becoming a country singer.
