Director Walter Lang's ebullient musical (an Oscar winner for Best Score) stars Alice Faye and Betty Grable as singing sisters Katie and Lily Blane, vaudeville performers who team up with the songwriting duo Skeets Harrigan (John Payne) and Harry Calhoun (Jack Oakie). Filled with lavish production numbers, the film includes the hit songs "K-K-Katy" and "Honeysuckle Rose," as well as an unforgettable staging of "The Sheik of Araby."
