After running away from home and being abandoned by the man who seduced her, Eve (Lucy Gutteridge) falls in love with French officer Paul de Lancel (Michael York), the heir to a champagne fortune. Later, Eve's two daughters, Freddy (Courteney Cox) and Delphine (Mia Sara), find their lives centered in the United States. Freddy becomes a pilot during World War II, and Delphine an international movie star. Based on the best-seller by Judith Krantz.
