When robust teen athlete Sam (Rob Lowe) falls ill, he's diagnosed with heart disease in this moving drama. As his health worsens, his doctors soon conclude that only a heart transplant will save him. In an outpouring of love and support, Sam's parents (Gena Rowlands and Don Murray), aunt (Jessica Walter), family and friends come together to help him through this difficult time. Lowe and Rowlands garnered Golden Globe nods for their performances.
