Protective father Lung Fei Ngan (Michael Hui) wants to find a good husband for his daughter, Sophia (Miriam Yeung), but goes a little too far in this romantic tale. To Ngan's dismay, Sophia sets her sights on her playboy boss, Frankie (Lau Ching Wan). Sophia and Frankie eventually fall in love, and it appears Frankie has settled down. But Lung Fei is certain that his new son-in-law will break Sophia's heart, so he sets out to ruin Frankie's life.
