In this pair of early Cary Grant outings, appearances are everything -- or at least they seem to be. In Thirty Day Princess, Sylvia Sidney plays the dual role of a foreign royal and the American actress who impersonates her when she comes down with the mumps, and Grant is the newspaper publisher who falls for her. In Kiss and Make Up, Grant plays a Paris beautician who unwittingly turns his client into a monster by making her too beautiful.
