The final season of this gripping drama focuses on the close of Pres. Bartlet's (Martin Sheen) tenure and the race that will elect his Oval Office successor. Sen. Arnold Vinick (Alan Alda, in an Emmy-winning role) is the Republican hopeful, while Congressman Matt Santos (Jimmy Smits) is the Democrat whose running mate is Bartlet's former chief of staff, Leo McGarry (John Spencer). Expect plenty of stumping, a live debate and a stunning ending.
