The Two Jakes

World War II is over, and an older, wiser Jake Gittes (Jack Nicholson) still works divorce cases. Developer Jake Berman (Harvey Keitel) wants Gittes to obtain proof that Berman's wife is cheating on him. (He also wants other things Gittes doesn't know about.) Great supporting work from Keitel and Chinatown scribe Robert Towne's crackling script make The Two Jakes a worthy sequel to Chinatown.
