A British military officer heads to India to investigate the disappearances of travelers in The Stranglers of Bombay, and in Terror of the Tongs, a prim London merchant travels to Hong Kong to exact revenge on the gang who murdered his daughter. Both of these British-made gangster films explore the challenges of a vengeful stranger seeking justice against murderous thugs in exotic foreign lands.
