The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh

  (1971)
Blade of the Ripper
In this thriller, an ambassador's wife (Edwige French) suspects that one of the men closest to her is a murderer. A cult favorite among fans of Italian horror, this 1970 film doesn't stint in its use of graphic violence and nudity, a prime example of the giallo genre that fashioned itself after lurid Italian pulp novels. Despite those elements, the movie carries a certain air of sophistication. Conchita Airoldi co-stars. Sergio Martino directs.
