The Sea Lion

This silent film stars Hobart Bosworth as Captain John Nelson, a sailor who turned bitter and cruel after his wife left him 16 years earlier. Nelson befriends a deckhand named Tom Walton (Emory Johnson), who has also been burned by love. Tom brings on board two shipwrecked passengers, including young Blossom (Bessie Love). Although Blossom doesn't escape the captain's wrath, the two share an unexpected connection.
