Jim Rockford (James Garner) is an ex-con turned private investigator who, ironically, would rather go fishing than confront criminals. Luckily for Jim, whenever his laid-back attitude gets him into trouble, his father, his lawyer Beth, his cop friend Dennis and his former cellmate Angel are usually there to bail him out.
