The Ring

When his father loses his job, Tommy (Lalo Rios), a Mexican-American teen, escapes to the safety of his usual hangout. But on the way to "the clubhouse," he's hassled by so many white people that he gets into a rumble -- a fight that's observed by a talent scout who urges Tommy to become a professional boxer. While he wins fame and fortune with his new profession, however, he may never earn his father's respect. Rita Moreno co-stars.
