The classic Passion play, recounting Christ's final days, death and resurrection, is told from the perspective of everyday people who witnessed the events, including a donkey minder (Ron Moody), Judas (Kevin Whately) and a centurion (Thomas Allen). The Easter story is brought vividly to life with narration by opera superstar Jessye Norman and music performed by the City of London Sinfonia under the direction of John Scott.
