Set three years after the mockumentary series' second season finale, this devastatingly funny two-part special finds ex-boss David (Ricky Gervais) -- barely making ends meet as a pseudocelebrity -- dropping by the office regularly to see his "friends." Replacing David, power-mad Gareth (Mackenzie Crook) is the new tyrant about town. Meanwhile, Tim (Martin Freeman) is trying (in vain) to connect with the new secretary by regaling her with jokes.
