Narrated by Susan Sarandon, this well-crafted, compelling documentary from filmmaker Liz Garbus recounts the story of Austrian Jew Edith Hahn, a Viennese law student who survived the Third Reich by assuming an Aryan identity. Forced to flee Austria, Edith became a Red Cross nurse's aide in Munich, Germany, where she met an articulate Nazi party official named Werner Vetter and began a romance that led to an improbable marriage.
