Hollywood-bound Yale grad John (Rory Cochrane) believes success as a writer awaits him in Tinseltown. But life has other plans for him. Instead of fame, he finds a slacker existence in which his best prospects are dead-end jobs. His friends (Ron Livingston and Christian Meoli) are just as broken down by a series of failures, except for a new roommate who somehow finds the silver lining in every cloud. Renée Zellweger and Kyra Sedgwick co-star.
